About Sneaky Cat Creative
Hi, I’m Kara Aleisa. I am a creative director, photographer, writer, and designer. You may be thinking choose a lane, girl but really each “hat” I wear is a means to tell a great story. Whether it is through a personal documentary project, a large-scale advertising campaign, or a short blog post, I am a storyteller at my core.
My original tool for storytelling was photography. With a B.A. in Photography (you can read that as Bachelor of Arts or Bad Ass, your choice), I began my career by photographing people, places and products. I was then hired as the art director of Nutrilite Vitamins & Supplements, a billion dollar global brand. In this role, I led the creative for Nutrilite Stories. With this initiative, I traveled to our Nutrilite farms in Jalisco, Mexico and Ubajara, Brazil with a handpicked crew of videographers and photographers to mine the amazing stories of the Nutrilite farms. We created an all-new creative asset library for marketing the Nutrilite brand, including hundreds of vibrant photos and multiple videos telling the untold stories of these farms.
My next role was at the shoe giant Wolverine Worldwide Inc. There I was the art director for the beloved heritage brand, Hush Puppies. I focused on bringing a new relevance to the brand by creating web friendly content, from directing all photo and video shoots to launching blogs to daily posts in social media channels and partnering with popular fashion bloggers. And then the time came for me to move to another state for love. I packed up my car and joined my fiancé in Denver, Colorado. I have been continuing to tell stories by freelancing and recently completed my Master of Science in Communications.
Every role I’ve had has placed me in a collaborative setting and that’s where I want to stay. I love partnering with people to tell the best stories possible. I’ve teamed up with creative vendors, web development, R&D departments, public relations, buyers, training, and on one somewhat painful occasion FDA regulations (vitamin packaging redesign). Truly, I can work with anyone but specifically I would love to work with you.
